"Avala Film" is the oldest film production company in Serbia, which has so far produced over 200 feature films. However, lately it has not been producing films – instead, its business has mainly revolved around renting out its large business space (30 hectares) in the Košutnjak woods in Belgrade. Individual attempts to bail the company out of this situation have not met with understanding from the relevant officials, so it is highly likely that the entire "Avala Film" complex will be sold to real-estate agents.
